Brief introduction to the school

The School of Human Settlement and Civil Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University consists of the Department of Civil Engineering, the Department of Architecture, the Department of Architecture Environment and Equipment Engineering and the Environment Science and Engineering Center. The school has Green Architecture Research Institute, Architecture Design Research Institute, Historic Site and Ancient Architecture Research Institute, the Structural Diagnosis and Restructuring Engineering Research Center, Cultural Relic Protection and Archaeological Engineering Research Institute, Architecture Engineering Research Institute, 4 special laboratories and one reference room. The school has a complete school- running system. It has three undergraduate specialties, four Master degree points and one enrollment field of engineering masters. Now, there are over 700 students in the school. The school has built a high-level teacher team that has complete level, solid theoretical foundation and rich experience in teaching and research. Now, there are 62 teachers and staffs, 21 of whom are professors or associate professors (associate research fellows and senior engineers) and 30 of whom are lecturers (assistant researcher and engineers). The school has achieved great results in teaching and research. The school pays great attention to conducting academic exchanges at home and abroad. It has built friendly cooperation relationships with many universities in some countries and regions.
